Uptie Story: Shi Section 5 (Part 2)

The child had one more job to do for the night.
Something he hired himself to do, for no pay but the satisfaction of his own revenge.
For a person with high power, this house was unusually plain. That's where Kiya had been, once.
His silence is heavy as the target looks up to him with a deadpan expression.
Moritaka ???
So you finally came.
Name (Title)
How pitiful that it took this long.
He had expected the assassin, of course. For years, the feelings and resentment between him lingered.

I was hired to kill you.
Moritaka ???
Don't make me laugh. We both know that's not true.
Moritaka ???
And to think, you really came prepared.
Kiya Shi Assoc. South Section 5

The anger in the child is warranted. Yet his wrath washes over into something calmer.
Moritaka ???
Of course not. You really think...
Moritaka ???
...I would be able to stop you?
But the truth was, he knows not about what he's feeling. Even as he's about to execute his own father.

Don't make this harder than it already is. Just say your last words already.
The tapping of his father's fingers are infuriating. He opens his mouth nonetheless, and lets his final breath loose.
In those moments alone, Kiya felt the pain in his heart. All those years, wishing for answers, have come to an end.
Yet, the slice of his sword does not yield anything special.
Just another successful kill.
And some time passes as the child walks through the rain, drenched in the blood of the one who sired him.
Until he reaches his apartment, tiredly opening the door.

His two friends are quick to greet him. They have long heard his stories, witnessed his rage.
Finding him wordlessly entering was far more terrifying in their eyes.

Ishmael has to even tilt his head up, just to get him to look at her.

I killed him.
The two glance at each other.
They can't help but feel worried. The grief was clearly evident on his face.
He just didn't seem to realize it yet.

...Let's get you cleaned up first, then we'll chat.

Okay.
He wonders if it really was the right course of action, to take revenge once and for all.
Regardless, it was too late. The deed has been done.
He'll have to live with the death no matter what happens afterwards.
